This exquisite Tank Asymétrique is part of the original 1996 Collection Privée “CPCP” release, a historically significant re-edition limited to just 400 watches: 300 in 18K yellow gold and 100 in platinum. This particular piece, with its 18K yellow gold case, showcases the unique parallelogram shape and bold three-lug construction, accommodating the torsion effect caused by the skewed case.
Unlike the larger modern versions, this classic model measures a refined 23 x 33 mm. The slanted dial enhances legibility with Bauhaus-inspired Arabic numerals and Cartier’s iconic blued sword-style hands. As usual with the CPCP watches, the 18K gold dial features fine guilloché engraving, adding an extra layer of elegance and craftsmanship.
This rare and creative Asymétrique is in excellent condition and is powered by a hand-wound movement that has been fully checked and regulated by our watchmaker. It comes with a slightly used black Cartier strap and a Cartier 18K yellow gold deployant clasp.
